Juventus' title celebration on hold after loss to Roma; Inter Milan lose again

Roma came from behind to beat Serie A leaders Juventus 3-1 to put the Scudetto celebrations on hold and keep alive their own slim title hopes.

Massimiliano Allegri's men needed only a point to secure a sixth successive championship, and his much-changed side took the lead on 21 minutes through Mario Lemina.

However, Roma -- who were looking to get back above Napoli following the Partenopei's 5-0 trashing of Torino earlier on Sunday -- soon levelled when Daniele de Rossi stabbed the ball past veteran keeper Gianluigi Buffon from close range.

The Giallorossi turned the match around in the second half when Stephan El Shaarawy's low shot crept into the bottom corner on 56 minutes and Radja Nainggolan fired in a third with a fierce angled drive.

The victory moved Luciano Spalletti's men back above Napoli into the automatic Champions League qualification place, and four points behind Juve with two matches left.

The destiny of the Scudetto, though, remains with the Bianconeri, who will return to the Stadio Olimpico for Wednesday night's Coppa Italia final against Lazio and then prepare for what could be the title-clinching match against relegation-battling Crotone.

Earlier, Inter Milan's forgettable campaign continued with a 2-1 home defeat by Sassuolo, during which some of the home fans walked out in protest.

Coach Stefano Pioli had been sacked earlier in the week after just six months in charge, with Stefano Vecchi promoted from his role in the youth team to caretaker for the Nerazzurri's final three matches.

The change in the dugout made little difference on the pitch as Inter slumped to a fourth straight defeat.

By the time Pietro Iemmello made the most of some poor defending to put Sassuolo ahead after 36 minutes, a large section of the Curva Nord was left empty, with a banner declaring "seeing as you don't deserve our support, today we say bye to you and go and eat.''

Sassuolo doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half when Iemmello knocked in a cross from Pol Lirola, before Inter substitute Eder pulled one back with a deflected drive.

England goalkeeper Joe Hart had a game to forget as Torino were thrashed 5-0 by Napoli.

Maurizio Sarri's side scored four times in 18 second-half minutes. Jose Callejon fired an angled drive past Hart in the seventh minute and Lorenzo Insigne tapped in a second on the hour mark.

Belgian international Dries Mertens beat Hart at his near post to make it 3-0 before Callejon knocked in his second and Piotr Zielinski completed the rout in the 78th minute.

In the the battle for Serie A survival, Crotone boosted their hopes of pulling out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Udinese.

Swedish midfielder Marcus Rohden's 18th-minute effort was the only goal of the game as the hosts moved within a point of Empoli, who went down 3-2 at Cagliari despite a second-half fightback.

Cagliari had looked home and dry when leading 3-0 at half-time following an early goal from Marco Sau and a brace by midfielder Diego Farias.

But with 11 minutes left, Miha Zajc crashed the ball into the top corner before the Slovenian midfielder picked out Massimo Maccarone for a tap in, but Giovanni Martusciello's side could not conjure an equaliser.

A looping header from Andrea Rispoli saw relegated Palermo pull off a surprise 1-0 win against Genoa, who are not yet out of trouble.

Mattia Destro scored twice as Bologna beat bottom club Pescara 3-1 while Roberto Inglese cancelled out Fabio Quagliarella's opener as Sampdoria drew 1-1 with Chievo.
