Balde Keita nets six minute hat trick, Lazio score five by half-time

Lazio striker Balde Keita hit a hat trick in five minutes and 19 seconds against Palermo as the club went 5-0 ahead by the 28th minute.

Keita, 22, has reportedly been scouted by Chelsea and had scored just three Serie A goals for Lazio in all of 2017 before his feat on Sunday. Palermo struck two goals back after halt-time but eventually lost 6-2.

And social media certainly enjoyed Keita's efforts.

Juventus' Pietro Anastasi scored a five minute hat trick in 1975, while the record stands at three minutes in 1947 from Torino's Valentino Mazzola.

While Keita's may be the fastest hat trick in Italy since 2000 -- when Andriy Shevchenko hit three for AC Milan -- Robert Lewandowski netted three for Bayern in just three minutes 53 seconds against Wolfsburg two seasons ago.

Lazio went fourth, while Palermo are rooted in relegation trouble and sit 13 points from safety, second from bottom with just 16 points from their 33 games.
