Defending champions Juventus bounced back from Sunday's Derby d'Italia loss to Inter Milan with a 4-0 hammering of Cagliari in Wednesday Serie A action.
Strikes from Daniele Rugani, Gonzalo Higuain and Daniel Alves as well as a Luca Ceppitelli own goal helped the Old Lady move on from a disappointing night at the San Siro at the weekend.
Rugani opened the scoring early, sweeping home from close range in the 14th minute after Higuain's shot was parried into his path by Cagliari goalkeeper Marco Storari.
Record-signing Higuain doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, coolly stroking home the rebound after Miralem Pjanic's close-range shot was saved by Storari.
