Joe Hart struggles on Torino debut, Totti saves Roma, Icardi winner

Manchester City loanee Joe Hart did not enjoy his debut for Torino as they lost 2-1 to Atalanta.

Iago Falque put Torino ahead in the 54th minute, but Atalanta were level when goalkeeper Hart flapped at a deep corner and Andrea Masiello struck home the equaliser.

Hart was then powerless as Lorenzo De Silvestri committed a foul in the box and Franck Kessie struck home an 82nd minute penalty.

In a day of torrential rain across Italy, Roma were 2-1 behind to Sampdoria when the match was suspended for at least 80 minutes due to rain, but came back to win 3-2 thanks to a last minute penalty from Francesco Totti.

Mohamed Salah's opener was cancelled out by Luis Muriel and Fabio Quagliarella before the downpour at half-time. But once the game resumed, Edin Dzeko struck in the 61st minute to equalise before Totti snapped up all three points with the last kick of the game after a foul on Dzeko from Milan Skrinia.

Mauro Icardi's stoppage-time strike earned Frank de Boer his first win as Inter Milan boss and sank newly-promoted Serie A side Pescara 2-1.

Inter, without a win since De Doer replaced Roberto Mancini two weeks before the start of the season, were trailing to Jean-Christophe Bahebeck's second-half goal before Icardi's late double rescued the Dutchman.

Substitute Bahebeck gave Massimo Oddo's side a 63rd-minute lead, but Icardi headed a 77th-minute equaliser and then fired the winner in the first minute of time added on.

Genoa vs. Fiorentina was abandoned after 28 minutes. The game was goalless when a heavy downpour caused referee Luca Banti to temporarily halt proceedings at Stadio Luigi Ferraris before he called the game off due to the condition of the pitch.

AC Milan lost 1-0 to Udinese as Stipe Perica stuck in the 88th minute in a match where Luca Antonelli was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

Perica's deflected goal at the death condemned Milan to their second defeat in three Serie A games. The Croatian's first-time effort from Emmanuel Badu's deep cross cannoned off the midriff of his marker before going in. It was a lucky goal in keeping with a match devoid of clear-cut chances.

Lazio defender Stefan De Vrij's second-half header earned his side a 1-1 draw against Chievo at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.

Chievo broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half when Valter Birsa's cross following a short corner was headed home from close range by Alessandro Gamberini.

But the home side's lead was short-lived as Lazio equalised three minutes later. Lazio substitute Balde Keita headed on a free kick into the box and Netherlands international De Vrij nodded the ball beyond Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino into the bottom corner.

Simone Verdi's first goal for Bologna helped secure a 2-1 win over 10-man Cagliari in Serie A.

The 24-year-old striker, a summer signing from AC Milan, opened his account with a 25-yard freekick midway through the first half. Cagliari keeper Marco Storari's afternoon came to a premature end nine minutes after the interval when he was sent off for handling outside the area as Ladislav Krejci raced through on goal.

Federico Di Francesco added the second in the 74th minute when he tapped in a cross from Krejci. Bruno Alves pulled one back with a free kick seven minutes from the end but the 10 men could not force an equaliser.
