Serie A launches streaming service to show games in official app

Serie A has launched a new online streaming service that will allow fans to watch up to three matches each round.

The service will be free for the rest of the month on the Serie A app and will then cost €2 per match, or €3.99 for all three.

The new Serie A TV will also offer a second screen during the fixtures, where viewers can consult statistics about the match and individual players. There will be a pre- and postmatch show for each game featured.

League president Maurizio Beretta says it is targeted at "youngsters who love watching football and interacting with new technologies at the same time."

Empoli's match against Udinese on Saturday will be the first to be streamed, ahead of Chievo Verona vs. Inter Milan and Genoa vs. Juventus on Sunday.
