Paulo Dybala backed to shine at Juventus by Palermo's Franco Vazquez

Palermo forward Franco Vazquez says Juventus have made a great signing in Paulo Dybala.

Dybala, 21, will move to Juventus from Palermo on July 1 after a fine campaign in Serie A, scoring 13 goals in 35 games. The Serie A champions are reported to have paid €40 million to meet the player's buyout clause.

Speaking while on international duty with Italy, Vazquez said: "This is an important purchase for Juve. Dybala is a quality player who has had a fantastic season. I wish him all the best, he is a friend to me. Behind the footballer there is a truly great person."

Vazquez, born in Argentina, said he is now concentrating on representing Italy, a decision which he is proud of taking: "Choosing Italy fills me with pride. It is a pleasure to be wearing this shirt, so full of history. To be part of such a great national team, winner of four World Cups, is a great window for me.

"I don't want to worry and just want to finish this cycle with Tuesday's match [international friendly against Portugal], if I can play. I hope I can -- the coach has tried me out on the right, I like that as I can then shoot or make a goal with my favourite foot, the left.

"After this, I will be going on holiday as it's been a long season. We had a great season at Palermo, reaching our aims long before we had anticipated. I am delighted with my season, my goals and my assists."
