Serie A touchline bans for Roma's Rudi Garcia, Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri

Roma coach Rudi Garcia and Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri will miss their sides' next Serie A games after receiving touchline bans from the Italian FA.

In addition to missing the visit of AC Milan to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, Garcia will also miss Roma's trip to Udinese on Jan. 6 after being banned for two matches for "adopting an aggressive and intimidating behaviour towards a steward" at the end of the Giallorossi's 1-0 win at Genoa.

According to a complaint failed by the steward, Garcia "attempted to hit me in the face as I was moving the protective portable tunnel out, without actually making contact. Subsequently, a man who I do not know, but who was identifiable as wearing a Roma tracksuit, insulted me and my assistant, also spitting towards me and hitting me on the face."

At roughly the same time, Roma defender Jose Holebas raised his middle finger to fans who were throwing objects at the Roma players and the referees as they left the field at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. He has consequently been banned for one match.

From the same ill-tempered game, Genoa's Diego Perotti has been handed a three-game ban after television evidence was used to review an incident missed by the referee. The 26-year-old "kicked his opponent [Holebas] while he was on the ground in pain" with the ball nowhere near the two players.

Allegri will miss Juve's trip to Cagliari on Thursday after he "made an insulting remark towards the referees when leaving the field of play at the end of the game" on Sunday when the Bianconeri were held 1-1 at home by Sampdoria.
