Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella is determined to lead his team to silverware ahead of their Coppa Italia clash with Juventus on Thursday.
The Viola go into the first leg of their semifinal at a sold-out Juventus Stadium having not lost in their last 12 games in all competitions, with Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah impressing in particular.
They are nevertheless 16 points adrift in Serie A of a Juve side that has shown few signs of weakness this season.
Juve, who have yet to fall at home, boast not only the most formidable attack in Italy's top flight but also the best defensive record.
The Turin giants took another step towards clinching their fourth straight title, their first under coach Massimiliano Allegri, after holding second-placed Roma to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday to remain nine points clear at the top of the standings.
"To face the best always gives you an added motivation," Montella told the Italian press. "We will need to show our quality and be prepared to suffer.
"We know Juve are determined to lift the Coppa and they have reason to be optimistic considering their position in the standings.
"We also want to win. I haven't won a trophy yet and Fiorentina certainly deserves to lift one. The important thing is that we continue to do well."
Fiorentina followed their qualification to the round of 16 of the Europa League with Sunday's 1-0 triumph at Inter Milan to climb to fifth place.
The Viola are three points adrift of Napoli who are third and hold the last Champions League qualifying spot, and Allegri, whose side remain in the Champions League, holds Fiorentina in the highest regard.
"Maybe we will field our regulars here and I can make changes in the Sassuolo game," he said. "The Coppa remains an important aim for us and I will field my strongest team because we are playing against Fiorentina, one of the best teams in the tournament. Montella's teams always play well."
Allegri confirmed he will recall Paul Pogba, who was left out of Monday night's draw at Roma as a precaution, while defender Andrea Barzagli may make his return after a near ten-month injury break.
Marco Storari should play in goal, as has been Juve's policy in the Coppa Italia in recent seasons, with Gianluigi Buffon rested.
Fiorentina last lifted the Coppa in the 2000-01 campaign, while Juve's most recent Coppa success dates back to the 1994-95 season.
Juve travel to Florence for the return leg next Tuesday, while Lazio host Napoli on Wednesday evening in the other semifinal.
Last year, the two clubs met over two legs in the last 16 of the Europa League with Juve coming out on top with a 1-0 win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi after the first leg at the Juventus Stadium ended 1-1.
Juve went on to reach the semifinals, where they lost to Benfica, while Fiorentina were beaten finalists in last season's Coppa Italia, going down 3-1 to Napoli.
