Cutrone impresses as Milan cruise past Verona in Coppa Italia

Patrick Cutrone
Patrick Cutrone impressed, scoring in AC Milan's 3-0 Coppa Italia win over Verona on Wednesday.

AC Milan booked a showdown with rivals Inter in the next round of the Coppa Italia after their comfortable 3-0 win over Verona on Wednesday. Goals from Suso, Alessio Romagnoli and Patrick Cutrone handed Gennaro Gattuso another win as the Rossoneri look to build some momentum.

It was another solid performance and result that will only build confidence within the group. Milan controlled the game well and applied sustained pressure, exactly what was expected of them while limiting dangerous...

Padelli: Inter 'underestimated' third-tier Pordenone in Coppa Italia

Inter players spoke with their Pordenone opponents after their penalty shootout.

Inter Milan's unbeaten record this season was almost ended by third-division Pordenone in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night, only for a dramatic penalty shootout ended in the Serie A side's favour.

Alberto Cerri scored a hat trick to lift Perugia to a 4-0 win at newly promoted Benevento, who played the second half with 10 men after Danilo Cataldi was sent off.

Cittadella scored all of their goals in the first half in a 3-0 romp to oust Bologna and advance to the fourth round.

Fabrizio Cacciatore scored in the 95th minute to help Chievo escape Ascoli 2-1,...

More than full-backs, Dani Alves and Alex Sandro have Juve thinking treble

Dani Alves had some fun at the expense of a reporter during Juventus' Coppa Italia title celebration.

At times with Juventus, it's just like watching Brazil.

Take last night's Coppa Italia final, for example. Juventus beat Lazio 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico and became the first team in history to win this competition three years running.  Think of it as one treble in preparation for another.

Dani Alves opened the scoring in Rome, running off the shoulder of the hapless Senad Lulic and volleying his shot into the ground, past the Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. The 34-year-old has...
