Inter Milan aren't looking to sell striker Mauro Icardi to Napoli for less than €60 million, club president Erick Thohir told reporters on Friday.
The 23-year-old Argentine has been rumoured to replace Gonzalo Higuain at the San Paolo club, after the former Real Madrid man joined Juventus for €94m earlier this week, with Icardi's agent claiming Inter's offers of a new contract have not been acceptable.
Thohir played down speculation surrounding Icardi's future on Monday, stating that the Inter captain was not for sale. However, when asked about a reported Napoli bid, the Indonesian businessman appeared to contradict those comments on Friday.
"All of us are hoping that number goes over €60m. But for us, that isn't important at the moment," Thohir said.
"Inter will be here for hundreds of years yet. Inter is made of individuals who can change. This happens every year."
Thohir, though, highlighted the importance of Icardi -- who serves as Inter's captain -- within the the San Siro side.
"He's a very important player for the team, he's our captain. We're building a team and we have to look at the dynamic," Thohir said.
Roberto Mancini's future at the club is uncertain, with reports indicating the former Manchester CIty boss is unhappy with the lacking of signings during the current transfer window. Thohir admitted the two men have had differing opinions at times, but characterised their relationship as a good one.
"The relationship with Mancini is good, although we've had some disagreements," he said.
"There are some differences in views, but the important thing is to work for the team."
