Inter boss Roberto Mancini wants even more from Stevan Jovetic and Eder

Roberto Mancini was pleased that Stevan Jovetic and Eder scored for Inter in Saturday's 3-1 win over Udinese but urged them to be more consistent.

After Udinese took an early lead, Jovetic brought Inter back level in the 36th minute before putting his side ahead with a second goal in the 75th, before Eder added a third in stoppage time.

Jovetic hadn't scored since Dec. 12, also against Udinese, while Eder netted his first goal for Inter since signing on loan from Sampdoria in January.

But Mancini said it was just a start for both forwards.

"Not only did [Jovetic] score two goals, he can do a lot more and he knows that," Mancini told Mediaset Premium.

"Tonight everyone did well, we played a really good game. We signed Eder because we hoped he'd score goals, but unfortunately until now he had been putting in good performances without any luck.

"I'm glad he got his first goal and hopefully he can now play with less pressure."

Jovetic told Inter's official website his goal was to score more consistently.

"These goals meant a lot to me tonight. When you're a striker it's always important to score," he said.

"I'm happy when I'm playing and scoring. I haven't been as consistent as I'd have liked this season but I hope to have a great season next year.

"We want to win them all from here to the end. Our aim was to get into the Champions League but if we qualify for the Europa League group stage that's still an improvement on last season."

Saturday's result brought Italy within four points of third-placed Roma, who face Napoli on Monday, and Mancini was optimistic his side could still finish in the top three.

"We had to win in order to keep a faint glimmer of hope alive, because strange things happen in football," the coach said.

"Are there regrets? Let's wait for that. People are trying to make out we've had a disastrous season, but that is not the case.

"Roma are having an extraordinary run, losing just once since Luciano Spalletti took over, and probably deserve to be in third place. We have to hope Napoli win against them on Monday."
