Jurgen Klinsmann backs Inter Milan to shine under Roberto Mancini

United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has backed Inter Milan to come good under manager Roberto Mancini after a disappointing 2014-15 campaign.

Inter finished eighth last season meaning they missed out on European qualification, finishing 32 points behind winners Juventus.

Klinsmann visited the Inter training ground on Wednesday with his son Jonathan, who plays as a goalkeeper in the U.S.

And the former Nerazzurri striker told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Whenever there are changes in leadership or management there always are some challenges.

"Moving from one ownership to a different one can be problematic, but I am convinced [president] Eric Thohir will bring many benefits.

"It is just a question of finding the new, correct path -- and you need patience, faith and time for that. It's impossible to have everything immediately.

"Similarly, Roberto Mancini has a good eye and a lot of international experience and knowledge. He knows how football is played not only in Italy, but in the most important European leagues too.

"Like the new management, he also needs time -- but he is the right man."
