France fans joined in to sing the English national anthem ahead of their friendly match on Tuesday in a show of solidarity following the recent attacks in Manchester and London.
English Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron were on hand in Paris to watch the friendly and a prematch programme that honoured the victims of the last week's terrorist attack in London that killed eight people and last month's bomb blast at Manchester Arena that left 22 dead.
In a change to the usual order, the French anthem went before "God Save the Queen," and thousands of France supporters joined their England counterparts in singing the lyrics shown on the screens at the Stade de France.
The move mirrors a similar effort in London in November 2015, when England fans sang France's "La Marseillaise" before a game just four days after 130 people were killed in the Paris attacks.
The England fans also came out onto the pitch to the Oasis song "Don't Look Back in Anger," played by the Republican Guard, while fans of both countries sang along and held up placards with the England flag.
A minute's silence then preceded the kickoff, with England and France players alternating around the centre circle.
France coach Didier Deschamps offered his counterpart Gareth Southgate a France No. 1 shirt.
"I simply told him that we were on their side because of what happened over there," Deschamps said. "They received us very well when we came to Wembley after the attacks in Paris."
