Croatia announce friendly vs. U.S. in London set for November

The United States will face Croatia in a friendly set for London's Craven Cottage on November 12, the Croatian Football Federation announced on Saturday.

U.S. Soccer has yet to confirm the date. The Americans are already scheduled to face the Republic of Ireland in Dublin six days later.

In 1990, Croatia played the U.S. in their first-ever international match, a 2-1 win for the hosts in Zagreb.

"I am extremely glad to have reached an agreement with my colleagues from the US Soccer," said Croatia federation president Davor Suker. "We are all aware what the 1990 match signified for Croatia and Croatian football. Nearly quarter of century later, USA has an excellent squad, their football is expanding, and this encounter will promote both US and Croatian football."

The U.S. should have their full roster available for the match, with Major League Soccer previously announcing it will take a break during the MLS playoffs to observe the international break.

Craven Cottage is the home of Fulham, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, and seats 25,700.
