Friendlies: Brazil and Mexico deliver expected wins, Japan draw

Brazil triumphed over Ecuador 1-0 on Tuesday night in a friendly at MetLife Stadium.

Willian, one of seven players from Brazil's World Cup roster who made the trip to the United States, finished off a fine set-peice from the Brazilian in the 31st minute.

Brazil, who also beat Colombia 1-0 on Friday in Miami Gardens, now have two wins from two in Dunga's second stint as manager of Brazil.

Miguel Layun scored early to help Mexico continue their domination of Bolivia with a 1-0 win at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.

El Tri improved to 9-1-1 all-time against Bolivia, but could not score again in a game that they dominated.

Gabriel Cichero scored in the 71st minute as Venezuela earned a 2-2 draw with Japan in Yokohama after a scoreless first half on Tuesday.

Yoshinori Muto gave Japan a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute, and Mario Rondon equalised nine minutes later from the penalty spot after Hiroki Mizumoto was booked for a foul on Alejandro Guerra.

Gaku Shibasaki put Japan back ahead in the 66th minute, only for Cichero to equalize with a long-range effort, and deny Javier Aguirre his first win as coach of Japan.

Canada ended a 16-game winless streak by defeating Jamaica 3-1 in San Pedro Sula.

Kemar Lawrence opened the scoring for the Jamaicans before Canada stormed back with goals from David Edgar, Marcel De Jong and Tosaint Ricketts.

Meanwhile, in Fort Lauderdale, Juan Delgado scored the only goal of the game to help Chile to 1-0 win over Haiti.

Lin Gao scored a penalty for China in Guangzhou but Ahmed Hayel Ibrahim equalised for Jordan seven minutes from time as the friendly ended 1-1.

Peru got late goals from Alexander Callens and Jose Paolo Guerrero to defeat Qatar 2-0 in Doha, while Asish Faouzi's early strike was all Bahrain needed to defeat hosts Kuwait 1-0.
