ESPN extends International Champions Cup deal until 2021

ESPN will show International Champions Cup (ICC) matches and summer friendlies in the U.S., Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean until 2021 after extending its agreement with Relevent Sports Group.

The deal gives ESPN exclusive English and Spanish-language rights to a total of 25 matches, including those in the ICC, which features top European clubs.

This year's ICC marks the fourth consecutive summer in which ESPN, Relevent Sports Group's exclusive media partner in the United States, has screened the tournament's matches.

ESPN platforms will also cover the Women's International Champions Cup and the International Champions Cup Futures tournament, which features young players.

"The International Champions Cup has become a fixture on the soccer calendar and the official start of the soccer season, and ESPN has played a big part in that process," Relevent Sports Group Executive Chairman Charlie Stillitano said.

"When looking to advance the tournament we extended our agreement with ESPN, in large part because they share our vision of growing the sport of soccer both domestically and around the world."

ESPN and ESPN Deportes (Spanish) will each televise 15 matches per year in the U.S., while ESPN+ will exclusively show up to 10 live games in both English and Spanish during the summer.

In Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, all ICC matches, Women's ICC matches and ICC Futures matches will air across ESPN platforms.

The ICC schedule on ESPN and ESPN+ will be announced at a later date.
