Hertha Berlin's John Brooks set for club return after U.S. friendly in Cuba

Hertha Berlin's United States international John Brooks is set to return to Germany following United States' friendly meeting with Cuba, kicker has reported.

Brooks, who has not featured for his club since suffering a groin injury in September, will reportedly go back to Berlin after an agreement was reached between Hertha and U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

That will give Brooks, 23, more time to prepare for the forthcoming match at Borussia Dortmund as he attempts to win back his place after missing the last four matches.

The Berlin-born defender is currently with the U.S. squad as they prepare for the historic meeting with Cuba in Havana on Oct. 7.

Hertha, meanwhile, are second in the Bundesliga after recording four wins, a draw and a defeat from their opening six matches.
