Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 5-0 win against Cologne in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
A second-minute strike from Maximilian Philipp set the hosts on their way, with Sokratis Papastathopoulos adding a second in first-half stoppage time to give Dortmund a 2-0 lead at the break.
Both goals in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace came right on the hour mark, the Gabon international scoring from the penalty spot in the 59th minute before adding his second one minute later.
With the result already assured, Philipp scored another in the 69th minute as Peter Bosz's team moved into first place in Germany's top flight.
Hoffenheim missed the chance to regain a share of pole position in the league, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hertha Berlin.
Sandro Wagner's sixth-minute header, from Andrej Kramaric's cross, put Hoffenheim on course for their third successive home win.
However, Alexander Esswein equalised for the capital club 10 minutes into the second half.
It denied Hoffenheim three points which would have seen them rejoin Hannover at the top of the table and gave Hertha, who struggled away from home last season, their first point on the road in 2017-18.

Kevin Volland opened the scoring in the 21st minute, Charles Aranguiz doubled the lead seven minutes later, then Volland tapped in his second 11 minutes before half-time.
Aranguiz then set up Julian Brandt for a fourth goal with three minutes remaining, as Leverkusen moved up to 12th in the table and left Freiburg in the bottom three.
