Borussia Dortmund 'irritated' by Bayern Munich pursuit of head scout

Borussia Dortmund have ended speculation that head scout Sven Mislintat could leave for Bayern Munich, with sporting director Michael Zorc saying he is "irritated" by their Bundesliga rival's approach.

Mislintat, 44, has acted as Dortmund's head scout for several years, and has unearthed players including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shinji Kagawa and Ousmane Dembele.

Earlier this week, kicker linked Mislintat with a switch to Bayern, who are currently looking to replace Michael Reschke following his departure for Stuttgart, but Dortmund have no plans to allow one of their key backroom staff members to depart.

"Sven will stay at Borussia Dortmund, and that's it," Zorc told Funke Media group on Wednesday. "His contract was extended until 2021 only a few months ago for a reason."

Zorc added that Mislintat had not approached him about a possible move to Bayern, and added in kicker: "I am a bit irritated by Bayern's actions."

In the last couple of years Dortmund have lost key players Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich, with the former re-signing for BVB in the summer of 2016.

Meanwhile, Zorc chose not to discuss Barcelona's reported interest in Dembele, saying: "It does not make any sense to fuel the speculations by making any comments."

But he did confirm Emre Mor was in "final talks with another club," and had been released from training ahead of a move to Inter Milan.
