Werder Bremen's Serge Gnabry: I could handle playing for Bayern Munich

Werder Bremen winger Serge Gnabry has said he believes he could handle the pressure of playing for Bayern Munich.

Gnabry, 21, marked his Germany debut against San Marino last week by becoming the first player in 40 years to score three goals on his first appearance.

The former Arsenal winger's fine form has seen him linked with a move elsewhere, and he told reporters he believed he could deal with the challenges that would bring.

"I joined Arsenal when I was 16, and dared to do it," he said. "I am someone who accepts challenges."

Asked what his dream club would be, Gnabry said he would choose Barcelona over Bayern because of the way they play.

Earlier this week, Bremen ruled out selling Gnabry in the January transfer window.

The club, 16th in the Bundesliga, host Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend and welcome back attacker Claudio Pizarro and Germany international Max Kruse after injuries.

Gnabry said: "It's good when players with such potential return."
