Bayern Munich fight back against Ingolstadt, Borussia Dortmund hit six

Bayern Munich made it three wins out of three in the Bundesliga this season and six out of six in all competitions, but they were made to work hard to beat Bavarian rivals Ingolstadt 3-1.

Dario Lezcano gave Ingolstadt a surprise lead at the Allianz Arena, but goals from Robert Lewandowski and Xabi Alonso turned things around for Carlo Ancelotti's men.

Ingolstadt had the better chances to score in the second half before Rafinha settled Bayern's nerves and sealed their win late on.

Borussia Dortmund claimed their second successive 6-0 win of the week as Darmstadt were dispatched in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Gonzalo Castro gave Thomas Tuchel's men an early lead and two goals early in the second half from Adrian Ramos and Christian Pulisic effectively ended any hopes Darmstadt had of picking something up at the Westfalenstadion.

The visitors ended the game with 10 men when their captain Peter Niemeyer picked up a second yellow card with over half an hour left and further goals from Castro, Sebastian Rode and Emre Mor completed the scoring.

Dortmund beat Legia Warsaw 6-0 in the Champions League in midweek and provided another example of their quality to put last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Leipzig squarely behind them.

U.S. international Pulisic, who turns 18 on Sunday, had two assists in addition to his goal after making his second start in four days.

RB Leipzig continued their excellent start to their first season in the Bundesliga with a 4-0 triumph at Hamburg moving them up to second in the standings, behind Bayern Munich.

Emil Forsberg gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot in the 66th minute with Timo Werner adding a second six minutes later.

Werner completed his brace with Leipzig's third of the game in the 77th minute -- from Forsberg's assist -- before Davie Selke, formerly of Hamburg's local rivals Werder Bremen, got in on the act to make it four.

Eintracht Frankfurt picked up their second win of the season to move three points clear of opponents Bayer Leverkusen with a 2-1 triumph at the Waldstadion.

Alexander Meier put the Eagles in front early in the second half, but Mexico international Javier Hernandez levelled soon after.

Hernandez's compatriot Marco Fabian restored Frankfurt's lead, and they managed to hold on to all three points, thanks also to a missed penalty from Hernandez at the death.

Two goals each from Thorgan Hazard and Raffael helped Borussia Monchengladbach to a 4-1 win at lowly Werder Bremen.

The visitors suffered a third successive league defeat -- and fourth including the DFB Pokal first-round exit -- to increase the pressure on coach Viktor Skripnik.

Gladbach scored all of their goals in the first half, though Bremen fully deserved their 73rd-minute strike as Aron Johannsson delivered a looping pass that Serge Gnabry's spectacularly smashed home on the volley.

But any slim hopes of a comeback were dented when U.S. international Johannsson was shown a straight red card for something he said to the referee.

Mario Gomez drew another blank in his second game for Wolfsburg as Hoffenheim frustrated Dieter Hecking's men to pick up a point from a 0-0 draw at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.

Despite the lack of goals, it was anything but a dull affair with both teams attacking and creating chances.

All it lacked was goals, with Gomez as guilty as any of missing chances, although Julian Draxler had arguably Wolfsburg's best opportunities.
