Premier League cash will tempt Bundesliga stars - BVB's Nuri Sahin

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin believes that the money in the Premier League will lead to many Bundesliga players moving to England.

With the new Premier League TV contract kicking in next summer, there has been concern in Germany that the Bundesliga could lose its best players to England, with Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge saying the deal "poses a great threat to all other European leagues."

Turkey international Sahin, who spent time on loan at Liverpool from Real Madrid in 2012, said it was inevitable that players in Germany would be tempted by the money on offer.

"That players are now attracted by those billions from England, you can't prevent that," Sahin told reporters at Dortmund's winter training camp in Dubai. "Many players will leave for England, that's just how it is.

"When you can get €2 million here and €5m there, then some players don't care whether they play in the Champions League or battle relegation."

In a recent poll of Bundesliga players taken by kicker, 45.9 percent said they would move to the Premier League if offered a significantly better salary, and 36.1 percent said it was possible.

"When you receive such an offer, everyone will consider it. You have to be honest about that," he said. "But if you want to play in the best league in the world: Welcome aboard! Our league is the best league in the world."

Sahin had been one of Dortmund's key stars when they won the Bundesliga under Jurgen Klopp in 2010-11 but then left for Jose Mourinho's Madrid, where he failed to make an impression.

He was loaned to Liverpool for the 2012-13 season but the agreement was cut short and he returned to the Westfalenstadion midway through the campaign.

He managed to recover his form with BVB but has not featured for the club since February last year, having struggled with adductor problems.

The 27-year-old has now resumed training and said he hopes to return to first-team action "soon."
