Furious Armin Veh 'ashamed' by Eintracht Frankfurt form

Eintracht Frankfurt coach Armin Veh has criticised his team harshly for their recent performances, culminating in the 1-0 defeat to Darmstadt in the Hesse derby last weekend.

Veh was vociferous on the training field on Wednesday and conveyed his feelings to the media afterwards, according to Sport1.de.

"I'm furious," he said. "There was 59 percent to 41 percent possession -- and it was in favour of Darmstadt.

"We were the home team and I cannot accept that. I cannot understand it either. I would be ashamed."

Their third defeat in a row saw Frankfurt slip to 13th in the standings and closer to the relegation zone than they would like with just two games to go to the midway stage of the season.

"I don't want any more excuses," he said. "Darmstadt's Sandro Wagner is poking fun at us still.

"We need some new spirit within the side. The good thing is we still have enough time to make some changes."

Frankfurt have won just one of their last 12 Bundesliga matches and, as a result, are just a point above the relegation zone.
