Bayern Munich 'are only humans after all' - Hertha Berlin's Salomon Kalou

Hertha Berlin attacker Salomon Kalou believes that "now is the best moment" to beat Bayern Munich ahead of their trip to the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Bayern have not dropped a Bundesliga point against Hertha since they lost in the capital in February 2009 with the help of an Andrei Voronin brace. In Bavaria, Hertha's last win dates back to October 1977, and they last claimed a point in Munich in August 2004.

The defending champions have scored 28 goals in seven Bundesliga home games, and only struggled against Augsburg early on in the season when a controversial last-minute penalty helped Pep Guardiola's side to a 2-1 victory.

And in spite of sitting fourth in Bundesliga, Hertha have so far failed to pick up points against the league's bigger clubs -- Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach. Each of their seven wins have come against the smaller teams.

But former Chelsea forward Kalou, who has been one of Hertha's key player so far this term, urged his teammates to believe that they can upset the odds.

"You have to believe in it," he said. "We are in good form, win games, are ranked fourth, a position nobody expected us to be in. For us, now is the best moment."

Kalou has fond memories of the Allianz Arena, where in 2012 he won the Champions League final with Chelsea against Saturday's host, but he also thinks last season's 1-0 defeat in Munich is a good example for what can be achieved away to the Bavarian giants.

He said: "That was really good, nobody expected that. We need to play counter-attacks, and patiently wait for our chance. No panic against Bayern. They are only humans after all."

Hertha coach Pal Dardai wasn't that optimistic on his prematch news conference in Berlin on Thursday, but vowed that the team will give their all, and hinted at a new tactic.

"The only Bayern weakness is that they mathematically also have to drop points at one point. That's our chance," the Hungarian said. "One hundred-and-twenty coaches have tried to do something special against Bayern, and we also have a plan. We are prepared."

Yet, Dardai also dropped hints that the plan will be to park the bus, and added: "We have to defend really well, and at times also play football."
