Jurgen Klopp: Borussia Dortmund want to run riot in Bayern DFB-Pokal semi

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp wants to "run riot" at Bayern Munich instead of receiving a flower bouquet ahead of Tuesday's DFB-Pokal match at the Allianz Arena.

The cup semifinal between Bayern and Dortmund will bring the curtain down on German football's biggest rivalry in recent years, with Klopp to leave the Westfalenstadion at the end of the season.

For the last time, 47-year-old Klopp will be in the BVB dugout in what has been dubbed the "German Clasico" during his seven-year tenure in Westphalia.

Late last week, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that "despite all the skirmishes" between the two clubs in recent years -- with Bayern signing BVB stars Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski as well as targeting Marco Reus -- he has "always had a great deal of respect" for both Dortmund and Klopp.

"[We will see him off] at least with a bouquet. We wish him all the best for the future," Rummenigge said. "I believe that the Bundesliga will miss him should he move abroad."

But speaking to reporters following the 2-0 Bundesliga win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, Klopp said he had other plans for his last trip to the Allianz Arena as BVB boss.

"That's a very nice gesture, but we want to run riot on Tuesday," Klopp, who will have to do without injured goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, said.

Rummenigge told Bild at the weekend that Klopp -- who has been linked with a switch to a Premier League side -- will not receive flowers after the match.

Meanwhile, 78-year-old publicist and former member of the Bayern supervisory board Helmut Markwort told WDR radio that Klopp was in the running for the Bayern job before they opted for Pep Guardiola in 2013.

However, Klopp's agent Marc Kosicke immediately rejected the statement as "untrue" and, speaking to dpa on Monday, Markwort apologised.

"I just mixed things up," he said, explaining that Klopp had been a candidate in 2008 before he joined Dortmund, while Bayern opted for current United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
