New Hannover deal for Andreasen

Hannover have extended the contract of midfielder Leon Andreasen by a year until 2015.

The 31-year-old will then earn an automatic one-year extension if he makes a certain number of appearances next season.

"We're delighted that Leon will continue to be a pillar of our team,'' said Hannover's director of sport Dirk Dufner.

"He shows passion and 100 percent effort on the field and was often a stabilising element of our defensive midfield in many important games.''

Following Steven Cherundolo's retirement, Andreasen is now Hannover's longest-serving player having joined in 2009 from Fulham.

Although injuries may have limited his opportunities, he did manage to play 31 times in the season just ended, taking him to 101 Bundesliga appearances in total with 14 goals.
