Genoa forward Leonardo Pavoletti faces an absence of several weeks after suffering a hamstring tear against Lazio on Saturday.
Defender Cristian Ansaldi also injured a hamstring in the goalless draw but a club statement on Tuesday revealed the Argentina international's problem is less severe than Pavoletti's.
It read: "Genoa CFC announces that tests carried out at the Istituto Il Baluardo showed Leonardo Pavoletti has a grade two hamstring injury in his right thigh.
"Cristian Ansaldi, meanwhile, has a grade one hamstring injury in his left thigh.
"Their recovery times will be determined as their injuries evolve."
