Joy for PSG after Lucas Moura netted.

Paris Saint-Germain secured their first Ligue 1 win of the season with a straightforward 2-0 success at home to Bastia.

Goals from Lucas Moura and Edinson Cavani helped the champions get over last week's disappointing draw with Reims, despite being rocked by a first-half injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Having secured a hard-fought 3-3 draw with Marseille on the opening day of season, there was less joy for Bastia manager Claude Makelele on his first return to the Parc des Princes, having departed for Corsica in the summer.

The hosts suffered a setback in the opening stages when star striker Ibrahimovic was taken off with a back problem, adding to Laurent Blanc's injury woes after he lost Thiago Silva last week during a friendly with Napoli.

Early chances for either side were few and far between, but PSG took the lead on 26 minutes with their first real opportunity of the game.

Marco Verratti and Gregory van der Wiel combined well before the latter's precise pass found Lucas Moura at the back post and the Brazilian made no mistake from close range with a well-taken side-footed volley.

The capital club continued to press and only some alert goalkeeping from loanee Alphonse Areola prevented his parent club from doubling their lead when Cavani tried to get on the end of Javier Pastore's through-ball.

Bastia rarely ventured out of their own half as the opening 45 minutes wore on and PSG went close to a second goal, but Areola pushed away Lucas Digne's cross-shot after Verratti and Pastore combined to tee up the full-back.

The interval did nothing to stem the Parisian tide and, when the Bastia defence froze expecting a free-kick, Lucas Moura was gifted with a great opportunity for his second of the game, but could only fire wide with just Areola to beat.

It was only a matter of time before Laurent Blanc's side doubled their lead and that goal came just before the hour mark when Cavani got on the end of Verratti's free-kick before turning Anthony Modeste inside the area and finishing.

The impressive Digne continued to trouble Bastia down the left and, on several occasions, his teasing crosses threatened to open up the visitors defence.

Makelele's men offered little in the latter stages and it was the hosts who looked the more likely to add a third when Yohan Cabaye tested Areola from distance as the PSG closed the game out.
