Monaco sign Youri Tielemans despite Man United, Man City interest

Youri Tielemans was a reported target of Manchester City and Man United.

French champions Monaco have signed sought-after Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans on a five-year contract.

The 20-year-old, already a full Belgium international, was reportedly a target for both Manchester United and their rivals City among other European giants, but Champions League semifinalists Monaco have won the race for his signature.

A statement published on asmonaco.com on Wednesday night said Tielemans, who leaves Anderlecht, had agreed a deal running to June 2022.

Blaise Matuidi says 'time will tell' over his Paris Saint-Germain future

The ESPN FC crew discuss what lies ahead for Unai Emery and Paris Saint-Germain following a disappointing 2016-17 campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said "only time will tell" whether he stays with the club when his contract expires in 2018.

Although PSG are reported to have offered 30-year-old Matuidi a new deal, he told Infosport+ that he had been left frustrated by their failure to win Ligue 1 this season.

"For the moment, I am very much there," he said. "Only time will tell. I have a contract until 2018. All I can say is that I am Parisien."

Las Palmas begin attempts to keep PSG's Jese Rodriguez on loan

Jese Rodriguez in action for Las Palmas during a La Liga game against Granada.
Las Palmas are hopeful that Jese Rodriguez will stay.

Las Palmas have begun talks to keep on-loan forward Jese Rodriguez for next season, president Miguel Angel Ramirez has told Marca.

Paris Saint-Germain's Jese has spent the last five months at Las Palmas, scoring three goals in 16 league appearances.

"We want to keep him. We have begun negotiations but his wages are very high," Ramirez said.

Jese joined PSG from Real Madrid last summer and returned to Spain on loan in January after protracted talks between Las Palmas and the Ligue 1 giants.

Anderlecht's Youri Tielemans set for Monaco despite Manchester City talk

Youri Tielemans scored 13 league goals for Anderlecht this season.

Reported Manchester City target Youri Tielemans is set to undergo a medical at French champions Monaco on Wednesday.

City had been linked with Tielemans, but the Belgian club's sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck has confirmed the midfielder is set for Monaco.

Tielemans flew into Nice airport on a private jet on Tuesday before making the short trip to Monaco where he is expected to have a medical.

"Tielemans will be Anderlecht's record transfer," Van Holsbeeck told Nieuwsblad ahead of what...

Paris Saint-Germain 2017-18 home kit has Parisiens saying 'non'

Paris Saint-Germain never usually pass up the opportunity to make themselves the focus of attention in European football but on Tuesday they opted for a low-key launch of their 2017-18 home kit.

It is easy to see why.

Les Parisiens will be sporting a navy blue number next season but one boasting burgundy sleeves -- a departure from their usual blue, white and red colour scheme and interpreted by some as a nod towards the capital club's Qatari owners -- and red chevrons down the middle.

The shirt...
