Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has warned his players they have not turned the corner completely yet despite an upswing in results.

Back-to-back wins after a draw away to Paris St Germain have moved Monaco up to eighth in the Ligue 1 table after a poor start to the campaign, but Jardim still sees plenty of room for improvement.

With Reims due in town on Friday night, Jardim was keen to remind his players that there is plenty of work still to be done before Monaco can say they are meeting the standards...

PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Missing the World Cup could cost me Ballon d'Or

Throughout his illustrious career Zlatan Ibrahimovic has become renowned for his uncanny ability to produce the spectacular on a regular basis.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has effectively written off his own chances of winning the Ballon d'Or despite last season being "the best of his career."

Ibrahimovic, 33, ended the 2013-14 campaign with a Ligue 1 winner's medal, a Coupe de la Ligue triumph, and the honour of finishing as the French top flight's leading scorer for a second successive season.

His brilliant foul-goal haul against Anderlecht in the Champions League was the highlight of his contribution to PSG's run to the quarterfinals of the competition,...

David Luiz impresses in his early days as a Paris Saint-Germain player

PSG defender David Luiz affirmed that his side need to keep their winning form going after a 3-0 victory against Bordeaux.

"The Parisians want to win the Champions League -- and I think to pair David Luiz and Thiago Silva, the defenders of the Brazil national team, is an excellent idea."

So said AC Milan's former Paris Saint-Germain defender Alex, speaking on French television last week. For a player who was ushered out of the club during the summer in order to accommodate the Brazilian, you might expect him to be bitter or at least to bear a grudge.

Perhaps that is why the zany, frizzy-haired centre-back is one of the...

Why Yoann Gourcuff hasn't lived up to the hype of being the next Zidane

Yoann Gourcuff's career never took off the way most expected it to. Now, the Lyon man is showing signs of revival.

First, the goal. It's not the most beautiful ever but in its execution, it is wonderful. The speed, the precision, the balance, the awareness of where the goal is and where the opponents are and the movement were perfect and breathtaking, especially at that level and especially in the biggest game of the season so far in France. It was a great piece of skill with his right foot to beat Giannelli Imbula and then a superb left-footed strike to put the ball under the crossbar and out of reach of...

Barcelona top homegrown talent table, according to CIES research

Barcelona remain atop La Liga with Sevilla and Real Madrid closely behind, but ESPN FC's Sid Lowe believes the Catalans are playing at a speed lower than normal.

La Liga giants Barcelona have produced more footballers currently playing in Europe's top leagues than any other club, according to new research by the CIES Football Observatory.

There are 43 different players who have come through Barca's La Masia academy currently plying their trades in the "big five" of Spain's La Liga, the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1.

Manchester United come second in the rankings with a total of 36 players developed, followed...
