Mandanne, Puyo help Nancy advance in Coupe de la Ligue; Marseille win

Christophe Mandanne and Loic Puyo both scored twice as Nancy defeated Caen 4-2 in the Coupe de la Ligue clash at Stade Marcel Picot.

Puyo opened the scoring for Nancy in the eighth minute before Jean Victor Makengo levelled shortly after.

Mandanne found the net in the 15th and 37th minutes to give the hosts a comfortable half-time lead but Makengo's second shortly after the break kept the game alive.

However, Puto's second in the 61st minute once again gave Nancy a two-goal cushion and their first win in eight games in all competitions.

Pedro Henrique scored a last-minute winner as Rennes defeated Lorient 3-2 to progress.

Henrique opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Wesley Said put the hosts in control just before the hour mark.

Abdul Majeed Waris scored from the penalty spot with three minutes remaining to put Lorient back in it before Wesley Lautoa made it 2-2 in the 90th minute.

However, Henrique found the winner in stoppage time to see his side progress.

Marseille defeated Clermont 2-1 thanks to Bafetimbi Gomis' 68th-minute winner.

Zinedine Machach opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half time before Fabien Centonze equalised for Clermont, but Gomis had the final word.

Bordeaux defeated Chateauroux 2-0 in the early kick-off with goals from Francois Kamano and Adam Ounas while Toulouse beat Auxerre 1-0 thanks to Christopher Jullien's 53rd-minute effort.

Sochaux defeated Dijon 5-4 on penalties after they could not be separated at full time.

Goran Karanovic cancelled out Dylan Bahamboula's 12th-minute goal for Dijon, with Lois Diony's missed penalty for the hosts seeing Sochaux through.

Metz also progressed via a penalty shootout after beating Paris FC 7-6, with Jonathan Nanizayamo's miss putting them into the next round.

The two sides had been tied at 1-1 at the final whistle after Opa N'Guette cancelled out Gaetan Missi Mezu's 27th-minute opener.

Guingamp beat Bastia 4-3 on penalties to go into the hat for the next round.

Bastia came from a goal down to go to penalties after Florian Marange scored on the stroke of half-time to negate Sloan Privat's goal just before the half hour mark.

Guingamp had been reduced to 10 men in the 64th minute when Jonahan Martins-Pereira was sent off for his second bookable offence.
