Video challenges may be on the horizon for football, but is the ESPN FC crew on board with it?

French Football League president Frederic Thiriez has put forward the Coupe de la Ligue as a potential testing ground for Sepp Blatter's video technology plans.

Nantes triumph over Auxerre

Nantes booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue with a 1-0 home win over Auxerre.

Young Venezuelan striker Fernando Aristegiueta scored the game's only goal on 74 minutes to see off the Ligue 2 visitors.
