Freddy Adu leaving Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura
Freddy Adu announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he is leaving Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura.
The former U.S. international joined the Finland club in March. Last month, Kups coach Marko Rajamaki said that the experience could be a stepping stone for Adu, who struggled to live up to the expectations raised when he made his MLS-debut for DC United at only 14 in 2004.
Adu's previous clubs include Bahia, in Brazil and Jagodina, in Serbia. He also had a trial with English Championship side Blackpool last year but was not taken on.
The 26-year-old's most recent cap for the U.S. -- his 17th overall -- came in 2011.
