Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris's status is uncertain for Ghana's World Cup opener against the United States next Monday after limping off in their 4-0 win against South Korea in a Miami friendly, according to a report.
Majeed Waris left the game in the fourth minute with a left leg injury and was replaced by Ayew, who scored in the 13th minute when his shot from 15 yards deflected off defender Ki Sung-yueng and past goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryong.
Waris appeared to have landed awkwardly after scaling over a clumsy challenge and looked to have injured his left thigh, the report said.
Ghana's medical team is evaluating his status, the report said.
