Australia's Tom Rogic ready for hectic schedule with club and country

Australia international Tom Rogic has said he is looking forward to a busy few weeks that will see him play in the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on May 27 before jetting off on international duty.

Celtic midfielder Rogic will be part of the Socceroos squad taking part in the Confederations Cup in Russia from June 17 to July 2.

After that, his club's first Champions League qualifier will be on July 11 or 12, leaving him little time to rest.

But speaking ahead of Celtic's league game against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Friday night, he said: "I will be feeling fit and ready to go. It is not an issue.

"It is a busy schedule coming up. I have spoken to the sports science guys at the club and the manager as well.

"I have missed a little bit of the season already, so I look at that as having had my break, so after the internationals it's straight back in ready to go into preseason and the qualifiers."

Looking ahead to the clash with Aberdeen, he said he did not believe it would have a bearing on the cup final encounter.

"The cup final is a one-off match, it is high pressure and anything can happen, so I don't think you can look too much into it," he added.
