Liverpool women's GK Kitching suffers horror facial injury in training

Fran Kitching is a former England Under-20 international.

Liverpool ladies goalkeeper Fran Kitching has said she is feeling better after suffering a horror facial injury in training last week.

Kitching, 21, was forced to miss Liverpool's first WSL win of the season on Sunday because of the injury.

In an Instagram post on Sunday evening, Kitching said the cut to the head was "the worst injury I've ever had," and jokingly compared herself to Harry Potter.

Matildas winger Hayley Raso will join Sam Kerr in England's Women's Super League, with a move to Everton appearing done and dusted.

Australia international striker Sam Kerr's Chelsea career got off to a winning start as they came from a goal down to beat Reading 3-1 in the FA Women's Super League at Kingsmeadow on Sunday.
