Tim Howard will return to goal for Everton for the Toffees' two final home games before he joins the Colorado Rapids in MLS.
The U.S. international keeper has been with Everton for 10 seasons but lost his starting spot to Joel Robles earlier this year and announced he will return to his homeland in March.
And Everton plan to honour the 37-year-old for his service by restoring him to the starting XI for two games remaining at Goodison Park.
Howard will start on Saturday against Bournemouth as well as the final game of the season against Norwich, while Robles will retain his spot for away fixtures at Leicester City and Sunderland.
With the two games, Howard will bring his total of Premier League appearances to 399, the second-most by an American after Brad Friedel's 450.
Howard is also one clean sheet shy of matching Friedel for the most in the Premier League by an American with 132.
"In our last two home games of the season we will be able to honour and acknowledge the outstanding contribution and unforgettable role that Tim Howard has made to our football club in the last 10 seasons," coach Roberto Martinez said in Everton's matchday programme.
"Tim will be joining Colorado Rapids at the end of the season but his legacy will live on for many years in the work that he's done not just on the pitch but in helping young players to understand just what it means and what it takes to be an Everton player.
"We wish him well and he'll be a true blue ambassador wherever he is."
