Iceland joint manager Lars Lagerback appeared to accuse Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe of being "actors" ahead of his side's Euro 2016 meeting with Portugal.
Real Madrid forward Ronaldo has from time to time been accused of diving in an attempt to trick referees over the course of his career, particularly during his early years at Manchester United.
Madrid defender Pepe, meanwhile, has also attracted criticism for simulation and he exaggerated contact with an opponent more than once during his team's Champions League final victory over Atletico Madrid last month, with referee Mark Clattenburg repeatedly issuing warnings.
Ahead of the nations' Group F meeting against Portugal in Saint Etienne on June 14, Lagerback appeared to criticise the Portugal duo in an interview with Norway's NRK Sport.
Ex-Sweden boss Lagerback, who manages Iceland alongside Heimir Hallgrimsson, said: "We've seen some Portuguese players diving. Portugal have one of the best players in the world but he's also an excellent actor.
"In the final of the Champions League against Atletico we saw another performance from someone who could be in Hollywood. I don't like that.
"I'd like it if they were able to watch the videos to retrospectively punish that sort of thing."
Iceland are about to play their first ever major tournament, with Lagerback having been credited with overseeing a huge improvement in their results during his five years in the position.
Iceland faced Portugal in qualifying for Euro 2012 before Lagerback took charge, with Ronaldo scoring in a 3-1 victory for his country in Reykjavik but being held scoreless as his team won the return game 5-3 in Oporto.
