Russia coach Leonid Slutsky has recalled some of predecessor Fabio Capello's favoured players for the country's final two Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Slutsky, whose first two games brought vital wins against Sweden and Liechtenstein, shook up the squad for those matches by bringing in several veteran players.

Now he has dropped three fringe players, replacing them with midfielders favoured by Capello.

Zenit St. Petersburg's Viktor Faizulin and Lokomotiv Moscow duo Dmitry Tarasov and Alexander Samedov are the trio to come in.

They have made a combined total of 51 appearances for Russia, 49 of those coming during Capello's three-year tenure, which ended in July.

Russia are currently second in qualifying Group G - a position that, if they can hold it, will see them qualify for France next year after what has been a turbulent campaign.
