Wales manager Chris Coleman has warned his players to be prepared for "play-acting" when they take on Israel in a key Euro 2016 qualifier at the weekend.

A 30,000-plus capacity crowd will be at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa to watch the home side, at the top of Group B, take on a visiting team just one point behind them.

Coleman said: "The difference in international football is putting up with a little bit of play-acting and simulation."

He backed his players to cope with a hostile atmosphere on Saturday, with Israel coach Eli Guttman has warned the Welsh to expect a special atmosphere.

He told his prematch news conference: "A lot of our guys play in the Premier League in front of crowds of 50,000 and 60,000, and it does not get bigger than that.

"We are a long away from home, but so what? We are looking forward to the atmosphere, and our guys are used to playing top international players week-in, week-out."

Coleman also backed his side to handle growing expectations that they can last the distance in their qualifying group.

"We cannot come back without anything," he said. "We know what we are up against, and they will know that about us.

"This game is about us, and I say that not in an arrogant way. We are getting it right -- we have to continue to do that."
