Wolves boss: 'Disrespectful' to talk about Arsenal links

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said it would be "disrespectful" to comment on reports linking him with the Arsenal job.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery is under pressure at the Emirates with the club without a win in the Premier League since October.

The BBC reported that Arsenal are considering Nuno as a potential replacement but the Wolves boss remained coy about the speculation.

"I think you know me well enough and you know that I'm not going to answer about that," he told a news conference ahead of Wolves' Europa League clash with Braga.

"I will never mention an issue that's not a reality. Mainly speaking about a job that has a manager on it. It would be disrespectful."

Nuno became Wolves boss in 2017 and guided the club into the English top-flight in his debut campaign.

Wolves finished in seventh place last season and secured European qualification for the first time since the 1980-81 season.

Wolves are above Arsenal in the league after Emery's team endured a disappointing 2-2 draw with Southampton on Sunday.

Arsenal are eight points off the top four places but sources have told ESPN FC that the club still have faith in Emery.

The north London side face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday before travelling to Norwich City on Sunday.
