Liverpool's Klopp: No concern over players' nerves after Fulham win

Virgil van Dijk and James Milner discuss the errors that led to Fulham's goal and how Milner stayed composed for the winning penalty.
James Milner dispatched a late penalty after Virgil van Dijk's mistake had gifted Fulham an equalizer.
English Premier League: James Milner (81') Fulham 1-2 Liverpool
English Premier League: Ryan Babel (74') Fulham 1-1 Liverpool
English Premier League: Sadio Mane (25') Fulham 0-1 Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp said he is not concerned about his players' nerves after Liverpool earned a narrow 2-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Sadio Mane gave the visitors a first half lead but ex-Liverpool forward Ryan Babel took advantage of a mix-up between Virgil van Dijk and Alisson to equalise for Fulham before James Milner's 80th-minute penalty earned Klopp's men all three points.

The victory took Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League, with Manchester City two points behind in second, having played a game less.

"We started really well, and did a lot of good things but lost the rhythm a bit," Klopp told Sky Sports. "I am not the most experienced manager and I have similar problems after Champions League games.

"First half a bit rusty. Second half we could have finished it off and then it is clear at 1-0 if you don't kill it off that can happen. Babel was there that is how football is.

"They deserved a goal but we deserved three points. A brilliant afternoon I have to say.

"I am not in any doubt about my players' nerves. It is about intensity. We go for perfection but it is rare that you get it. Burnley, [Bayern] Munich, Fulham -- you have to adapt. People will say we need to be more convincing, but we are at the start of a development, not the end."
