Premier League weekend team news: Injuries and suspensions update

SATURDAY'S GAMES

Arsenal vs. Bournemouth

Laurent Koscielny should be fit despite suffering an injury while on international duty with France and everyone else returned unscathed. Jack Wilshere is unlikely to feature against the Cherries as he continues to work back to full fitness while Santi Cazorla (ankle) will be missing until after Christmas.
Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Mustafi, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez, Iwobi, Welbeck, Lacazette.

Simon Francis has not featured since the first game of the new season because of a hamstring problem but is available. Otherwise, Eddie Howe reported no fresh injury concerns with forwards Junior Stanislas (groin) and Callum Wilson (knee) continuing their rehabilitation.
Provisional squad: Begovic, Mings, Ake, S Cook, A Smith, Daniels, Gosling, Surman, Arter, King, Defoe, Mousset, Boruc, L Cook, B Smith, Ibe, Fraser, Afobe, Francis

Brighton vs. West Brom

Glenn Murray (ankle) and Tomer Hemed (thigh) should be fit and are back in training with Izzy Brown (hamstring) and Sam Baldock (knee) still out. Steve Sidwell (back) and Beram Kayal (broken leg) are also sidelined but right-back Ezequiel Schelotto can be added to the squad following his deadline-day switch from Sporting Lisbon.
Provisional squad: Ryan, Maenpaa, Krul, Bruno, Schelotto, Dunk, Duffy, Rosenior, Hunemeier, Suttner, Stephens, Gross, Propper, Knockaert, Skalak, March, Izquierdo, Murphy, Hemed, Murray.

Jonny Evans is available after a hamstring injury, having played in both of Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifying matches. Tony Pulis will decide whether to include new signings Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kieran Gibbs in his squad. Both players are fit but short of match-sharpness having played little first-team football so far this season. Gareth McAuley is back in training after a thigh injury but Saturday's game will come too soon for him, while Hal Robson-Kanu is still suspended.
Provisional squad: Foster, Myhill, Nyom, Evans, Dawson, Yuning, Hegazi, Brunt, M Wilson, K Wilson, Yacob, Morrison, Livermore, Field, McClean, Harper, Chadli, Barry, Rondon, Leko, Rodriguez, Burke, Gibbs, Krychowiak.

Everton vs. Tottenham

Wayne Rooney will start after a turbulent week in which he was charged with drink-driving. Winger Nikola Vlasic will be part of the squad for the first time while striker Oumar Niasse has been recalled having been frozen out last season and loaned to Hull. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has recovered from a thigh injury which forced him to pull out of England duty while midfielder Davy Klaassen has recovered from a foot problem.
Provisional squad: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Williams, Jagielka, Baines, Gueye, Davies, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Sandro, Stekelenburg, Martina, Lennon, Kenny, Besic, Klaassen, Calvert-Lewin, Lookman, Vlasic, Niasse.

Serge Aurier is unlikely to start, but Kieran Trippier has recovered from an ankle issue and should play at right-back. Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose are both out with knee injuries while Erik Lamela is still around a month away from competitive action following a hip problem.
Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Gazzaniga, Davies, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Foyth, Trippier, Aurier, Walker-Peters, Dembele, Dier, Winks, Oakley-Boothe, Eriksen, Alli, Sissoko, Son, Janssen, Llorente, Kane.

Leicester vs. Chelsea

Leicester could include new signing Aleksandar Dragovic in their squad. The 26-year-old defender joined the club on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen on the final day of the summer transfer window. Nampalys Mendy and Danny Drinkwater, who joined Chelsea, have departed since the 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Aug. 26. Robert Huth (ankle) and Vicente Iborra (groin) are both back in training after injury but Saturday's match will come too soon for both players.
Provisional squad: Schmeichel, Jakupovic, Hamer, Simpson, Fuchs, Morgan, Chilwell, Maguire, Dragovic, Wasilewski, Benalouane, Ndidi, Amartey, Gray, Albrighton, Thomas, Mahrez, Musa, Vardy, Ulloa, Slimani, Okazaki, Iheanacho.

Eden Hazard is able to make his first Chelsea appearance of the season. The Belgium playmaker is fit again after ankle surgery, while Danny Drinkwater is in line for his Chelsea debut against his former club. The Blues can pick from full strength with a clean bill of health following the international break.
Provisional squad: Courtois, Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Drinkwater, Pedro, Bakayoko, Moses, Willian, Hazard, Batshuayi, Morata, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Christiansen, Kenedy, Tomori, Musonda, Boga, Scott, Zappacosta.

Southampton v Watford

Mauricio Pellegrino reported no fresh injury worries ahead. Defender Virgil van Dijk has rejoined first-team training after remaining with the club at the end of the transfer window, but is short of match fitness. Fellow Dutchman Wesley Hoedt could make his debut having been an unused substitute in the goalless draw at Huddersfield before the international break following his move from Lazio.
Provisional Squad: Forster, Stephens, Bertrand, Soares, Yoshida, Lemina, Davis, Tadic, Romeu, Redmond, Gabbiadini, McCarthy, Hoedt, Targett, Ward-Prowse, McQueen, Long, Boufal, Austin.

Watford could be boosted by the return of Younes Kaboul and Daryl Janmaat, who were both injured in the opening-day draw against Liverpool. Sebastian Prodl will be assessed on Friday after he limped off in Austria's World Cup qualifier against Wales. Miguel Britos (suspended), Craig Cathcart and Mauro Zarate (both knee) are unavailable.
Provisional squad: Gomes, Karnezis, Kaboul, Janmaat, Kabasele, Wague, Prodl, Mariappa, Mason, Femenia, Hoban, Capoue, Hughes, Chalobah, Doucoure, Watson, Carrillo, Deeney, Success, Richarlison, Sinclair, Okaka, Gray.

Stoke v Man United

Ryan Shawcross is ruled out due to a back injury, so Kevin Wimmer could make his debut and midfielder Darren Fletcher is hoping to shake off a knee injury in time to face his former club. Mame Diouf (knee) could also return to contention, but winger Maxim Choupo-Moting is doubtful after straining his hamstring while on international duty with Cameroon.
Provisional squad: Butland, Zouma, Martins Indi, Wimmer, Cameron, Diouf, Fletcher, Allen, Pieters, Jese, Shaqiri, Choupo-Moting, Grant, Johnson, Berahino, Adam, Crouch, Ramadan.

Jose Mourinho will assess those returning from international duty. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo (both knee) remain long-term absentees, while Andreas Pereira has joined Valencia on loan since their last match. Luke Shaw and Ashley Young have stepped up their return from serious injuries with the Under-23s.
Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Blind, Shaw, Young, Jones, Bailly, Smalling, Lindelof, Matic, Pogba, Fellaini, Herrera, Carrick, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, McTominay, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku.

SUNDAY'S GAMES

Burnley v Crystal Palace

Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick is a major doubt. Hendrick missed his side's 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley a fortnight ago with a tight thigh and faces a late fitness test on the injury. Jon Walters made a successful return from a knee injury with Ireland during the international break, and boss Sean Dyche has no further concerns.
Provisional squad: Heaton, Legzdins, Pope, Lowton, Long, Mee, Taylor, Ward, Darikwa, Tarkowski, Defour, Brady, Ulvestad, Hendrick, Walters, Cork, Westwood, Arfield, Gudmundsson, Vokes, Agyei, Barnes, Wood.

Crystal Palace are without new signing Mamadou Sakho for Sunday's visit to Burnley because the defender remains short of match fitness. They also remain without longer-term absentees Wilfried Zaha, owing to a knee injury, and Connor Wickham, who is continuing his comeback from an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his right knee. James Tomkins came off with a hamstring problem in last month's defeat by Swansea but is expected to be passed fit, as are Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Sullay Kaikai.
Provisional squad: Hennessey, Speroni, Riedewald, Dann, Delaney, Fosu-Mensah, Tomkins, Kelly, Ward, Lee, McArthur, Cabaye, Loftus-Cheek, Milivojevic, Mutch, Puncheon, Sako, Schlupp, Souare, Kaikai, Townsend, Van Aanholt, Benteke

Swansea v Newcastle

Renato Sanches is likely to make his Swansea debut having signed on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich, but fellow deadline day signing Wilfried Bony has to build up his fitness levels and he could be among the substitutes. Jordan Ayew has recovered from a stomach problem which forced him to miss Ghana's games during the international break, but Kyle Bartley (knee ligaments), Nathan Dyer (Achilles) and Ki Sung-yueng (knee) remain out.
Provisional squad: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson, Clucas, Fer, Carroll, Sanches, Ayew, Abraham, Nordfeldt, Rangel, Van der Hoorn, Britton, Mesa, Fulton, Narsingh, Routledge, Bony.

Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic begins a three-match ban as midfielder Jonjo Shelvey returns from his. Chancel Mbemba will also miss out with a hamstring injury suffered on international duty with the Democratic Republic of Congo and will join fellow defender Paul Dummett (also hamstring) on the sidelines, although the Magpies are confident the damage is not as serious as first suggested. However, full-back De Andre Yedlin (hamstring) and central defender Florian Lejeune (ankle ligaments) are back in full training, while striker Dwight Gayle has shaken off his persistent hamstring problem.
Provisional squad: Elliot, Woodman, Yedlin, Manquillo, Gamez, Lascelles, Clark, Lejeune, Hayden, Merino, Shelvey, Saivet, Ritchie, Atsu, Murphy, Aarons, Diame, Barlaser, Perez, Gayle, Joselu.

MONDAY'S GAME

West Ham v Huddersfield

Andy Carroll is in the West Ham squad for the first time this season for the visit of Huddersfield on Monday. The striker has recovered from his latest injury lay-off, a thigh problem, and is joined by fit-again defender Winston Reid (calf). But midfield duo Manuel Lanzini (knee) and Edimilson Fernandes (ankle) are out injured while winger Marko Arnautovic completes a three-match ban.
Provisional squad: Hart, Adrian, Zabaleta, Byram, Masuaku, Cresswell, Reid, Ogbonna, Collins, Fonte, Obiang, Noble, Kouyate, Rice, Antonio, Ayew, Sakho, Hernandez, Carroll.

Abdelhamid Sabiri and Florent Hadergjonaj are both in contention to make their debuts having featured in Sunday's friendly win against Altona 93 in Germany. Goalkeeper Rob Green, signed recently from Leeds, could also be included. Striker Collin Quaner (knee) will be monitored, while all eight internationals have returned in good health.
Provisional squad: Lossl, Lowe, Schindler, Jorgensen, Smith, Billing, Mooy, Van La Parra, Palmer, Ince, Kachunga, Quaner, Mounie, Williams, Green, Malone, Lolley, Hefele, Sabiri, Hadergjonaj.
