Liverpool striker Divock Origi has expressed his frustration at not playing more frequently this season.
Origi said he believed it was easier for his Belgium international teammate Romelu Lukaku to shine at Everton than it is for him at Anfield.
He has made only seven Premier League starts this season, five of which came in as many games when manager Jurgen Klopp's options were limited by injuries to Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.
The striker has been on the bench for Liverpool's last eight Premier League games games and told reporters: "It's very frustrating not to often have had the chance to show what I can do.
"But I believe in myself and I know very well I have the qualities even if they aren't immediately apparent to the coach, whose decisions I respect."
Origi said it had been easier to get game time last year when Liverpool were in the Europa League at this stage of the season.
"Today, we just have the Premier League," he added. "But I'll draw conclusions at the end of the season.
"Thanks to the experience I have picked up, I now know how to handle the situation. You have to adapt, stay calm and continue working.
"The aim is to become a first-team regular at Liverpool, and I'm perhaps not all that far away.
"For the moment, I'm focused on Liverpool. I try to show my qualities when the coach puts me in. I think I've done that well up to now."
Origi also remains down the pecking order at international level, with Everton forward Lukaku ahead of him in coach Roberto Martinez's plans for the World Cup qualifier with Greece on Saturday.
"If I play so little it's also because I'm at a big club where it's more difficult to get into the starting lineup than it is at Everton," Origi added.
"That takes nothing away from Romelu's qualities and what he has done."
