N'Golo Kante: Moussa Dembele's form for Celtic has not gone unnoticed

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has said that Moussa Dembele's form for Celtic this season has been eye-catching.

Dembele, 20, has scored 27 goals in 29 games since joining Celtic from Fulham in the summer. That form has led to speculation of a move, with Chelsea one of the sides linked, and Kante is impressed by his countryman.

"You do not score the amount of goals that he has scored this season and it goes unnoticed," Kante is quoted as saying.

"He has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe this season. He must be playing with so much confidence and that is always one of the most important things for a striker."

Dembele has represented France at every level up to under-21 but is yet to receive a senior callup to Didier Deschamps' squad.

And Kante thinks he is good enough to make the grade, even though he is playing in the Scottish Premiership.

"The [France] coach gave me a chance when I was at Leicester and Dimitri Payet a chance when he was at West Ham," he added.

"I do not think that is a worry. He's scoring a lot of goals and playing well -- that's all that matters."
