Premier League weekend team news: Injuries and suspensions

SATURDAY'S GAME

- CHELSEA

Chelsea captain John Terry is out with a buttock injury. Terry, 36 next month, has made one start in seven games following an ankle injury and is expected to be out for two to three weeks. Midfielder John Obi Mikel is to return to training next week following an undisclosed muscular injury.

Provisional squad: Courtois, Begovic, Alonso, Fabregas, Zouma, Kante, Oscar, Hazard, Pedro, Loftus-Cheek, Moses, Costa, Matic, Willian, Batshuayi, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Luiz, Eduardo, Aina, Solanke.

- TOTTENHAM

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will be without both his first-choice left backs. Danny Rose is suspended for the game at Stamford Bridge and Ben Davies is out with an ankle injury, meaning Jan Vertonghen is likely to fill in, with Kevin Wimmer continuing at centre-half. Erik Lamela remains out with a hip problem while Toby Alderweireld is back in training following his knee injury but will not be ready to play this weekend.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Lopez, Vertonghen, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Walker, Trippier, Dier, Wanyama, Winks, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Sissoko, Onomah, Nkoudou, Son, Janssen, Kane.

SUNDAY'S GAMES

- WATFORD

Watford could be without defender Younes Kaboul. Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri revealed Kaboul suffered a knock in training and may miss out against the Potters. Craig Cathcart (groin) and Isaac Success (foot) are longer-term absentees, while Odion Ighalo is likely to be on the bench again having been dropped for last weekend's win over champions Leicester.

Provisional squad: Gomes, Gilmartin, Pantilimon, Mariappa, Kaboul, Sinclair, Britos, Prodl, Janmaat, Holebas, Zuniga, Amrabat, Behrami, Capoue, Guedioura, Watson, Doucoure, Pereyra, Deeney, Ighalo, Okaka.

- STOKE

Stoke will be without influential midfielder Joe Allen. The Welshman, the Potters' top scorer this term, is suspended, leaving boss Mark Hughes light in the midfield department given Glenn Whelan (calf) is a doubt and Geoff Cameron (knee) remains out. Full-back Phil Bardsley (knee) will miss a number of weeks, along with Ibrahim Afellay (knee), though England international goalkeeper Jack Butland (ankle) is close to a comeback.

Provisional squad: Given, Grant, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Pieters, Muniesa, Whelan, Adam, Imbula, Bojan, Shaqiri, Sobhi, Arnautovic, Walters, Bony, Diouf, Crouch.

-ARSENAL

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns. Manager Arsene Wenger will pick from the same squad that drew 2-2 against Paris St Germain on Wednesday night, although the likes of Theo Walcott, Granit Xhaka and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be pushing to start. None of the Gunners' injured players are fit enough to return with Santi Cazorla (Achilles), Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck (both knee), Hector Bellerin and Lucas Perez (both ankle) are all out.

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Debuchy, Jenkinson, Holding, Gabriel, Koscielny, Mustafi, Gibbs, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Coquelin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Walcott, Reine-Adelaide, Iwobi, Sanchez, Akpom, Giroud.

- BOURNEMOUTH

Bournemouth will be without on-loan midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is not eligible to face his parent club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Goalkeeper Artur Boruc faces a late fitness test on his back problem, so Adam Federici could come in again, while midfielder Andrew Surman has been struggling with a hamstring injury. Defender Adam Smith returns from a one-match suspension and midfielder Jordon Ibe is expected to be available following illness. Australia defender Brad Smith (foot) and midfielder Lewis Cook (ankle) both continue their rehabilitation.

Provisional squad: Boruc, A Smith, Cook, Francis, Daniels, Gosling, King, Pugh, Stanislas, Arter, Wilson, Federici, Ake, Afobe, Mings, Mousset, Fraser, Smith, Allsop.

- MAN UNITED

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return from his domestic ban. The 35-year-old missed the 1-1 draw with Arsenal having been booked five times but played in the Europa League against Feyenoord on Thursday, when the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Wayne Rooney may have impressed Jose Mourinho sufficiently to keep their spots in the Premier League. Mourinho, who is expected to recall goalkeeper David de Gea but remains without Eric Bailly (knee) and Chris Smalling (toe), must determine whether Michael Carrick can make a third start in nine days.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Blind, Jones, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Rojo, Shaw, Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Mata, Pogba, Schneiderlin, Young, Depay, Martial, Rashford, Rooney, Ibrahimovic

- WEST HAM

West Ham captain Mark Noble returns from suspension but defender Winston Reid serves a one-match ban. Midfielder Pedro Obiang is expected to be available despite missing training earlier this week due to an ankle injury. Long-term absentee Andy Carroll has resumed training after his ankle injury but Reece Oxford, Sam Byram, Gokhan Tore and Arthur Masuaku are still sidelined.

Provisional squad: Adrian, Randolph, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble, Obiang, Fernandes, Nordtveit, Payet, Lanzini, Antonio, Feghouli, Ayew, Sakho, Zaza, Fletcher, Calleri.

- SOUTHAMPTON

Dusan Tadic is not expected to be available for Southampton as the Serbian midfielder continues his recovery from a broken nose. Defender Jose Fonte will be assessed on a foot problem, with manager Claude Puel hopeful the captain will be fit having not travelled for Thursday's Europa League defeat at Sparta Prague. Forward Charlie Austin, full-back Ryan Bertrand, midfielders Oriol Romeu and Steve Davis should all be recalled, but Matt Targett continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.

Provisional squad: Forster, Fonte, Bertrand, Soares, van Dijk, Hojbjerg, Davis, Romeu, Redmond, Austin, Boufal, Taylor, Long, Rodriguez, Reed, Yoshida, Clasie, Martina.

- EVERTON

Everton have no new injury problems. Manager Ronald Koeman also has midfielder Gareth Barry back from suspension and could face a few selection dilemmas. Only long-term absentees Muhamed Besic (knee) and Matthew Pennington (hamstring) are on the sidelines.

Provisional squad: Stekelenburg, Robles, Williams, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Holgate, Gueye, McCarthy, Barry, Cleverley, Davies, Barkley, Bolasie, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Lennon, Lukaku, Valencia, Kone.
