Tottenham make their case -- at less than full strength

Tottenham Hotspur's defeat of Manchester City on Sunday makes them the last remaining undefeated team in the Premier League. The 2-0 win was a tour de force for Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs. They were the first team to hold Guardiola's high-flying City squad under two goals. They were the first team to hold them under an expected goal, keeping them to 0.99 expected goals on 12 shots, also tied for a season-low for City. Spurs kept City to their fewest number of passes attempted, fewest numbers of passes played, fewest chances created and lowest percentage of possession for the season to date.
