Friendlies: Liverpool roll to fourth straight win; Bayern top Man City

Everything was in order at home just hours before Liverpool go on their travels as they recorded their fourth straight win of the preseason with a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.

Marko Grujic and Alberto Moreno scored the goals at the John Smith's Stadium as Jurgen Klopp's side edged his long-time friend David Wagner's Championship outfit. Liverpool travel to the United States immediately after the game to continue their summer schedule.

Grujic returned to the line-up having missed Sunday's meeting with Wigan Athletic due to illnes, while Klopp continued with the interchangeable front three of Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane supporting Roberto Firmino up top.

Carlo Ancelotti's home debut as manager of Bayern Munich produced a 1-0 victory against Manchester City at the Allianz Arena

A goal from 20-year-old Bayern debutant Erdal Ozturk was the only tally of the match to spoil Pep Guardiola's return to Munich.

Michy Batshuayi made his Chelsea debut as Antonio Conte secured his first victory since being appointed head coach with a 3-0 win over RZ Pellets WAC.

Bertrand Traore scored the Blues' first shortly before half-time. Ruben Loftus-Cheek added a second five minutes from time, and fellow substitute Nathaniel Chalobah scored a superb solo third late on.

Rubin Kazan thrashed West Ham 3-0 at the Olympic Stadium in London. Marko Devic, Maxime Lestienne and Gokdeniz Karadeniz scored for the Russians.

Newcastle drew with Doncaster Rovers 2-2 at Keepmoat Stadium. Andrew Williams scored a first-half brace before goals from Isaac Hayden and Ayoze Perez brought the recently-relegated Premier League side level.

Aston Villa and Bristol Rovers drew 1-1 at The Memorial Stadium. Jordan Ayew's first-half opener was cancelled out by a Matt Taylor strike in the 78th minute.
