Championship fixtures: Lampard's Derby open 2018-19 season at Reading

Frank Lampard's first match as a manager will open the 2018-19 Championship season when his Derby County side travel to Reading, while Marcelo Bielsa begins his time in charge of Leeds United against Stoke City.

Lampard took over at Derby from Gary Rowett after the Rams once again fell short in the playoff race last season, and the former Chelsea midfielder will come up against one of his former coaches at Stamford Bridge, Paul Clement, when he takes his side to the Madejski Stadium on Friday, Aug. 3.

Rowett is now in charge of Stoke, and the Potters began their first campaign in the second tier for 10 years with a tough trip to face Bielsa's new club at Elland Road on Sunday, Aug. 5.

The other two clubs relegated form the Premier League, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion, will begin their campaigns away to Sheffield United and at home against Bolton Wanderers respectively.

Aston Villa, who lost season's playoff final against Fulham, begin against Hull City on Monday, Aug. 6.
