Millwall end unbeaten Leeds run as Cardiff grab point against Wednesday

Aiden O'Brien scored the only goal as Millwall beat leaders Leeds 1-0 at the Den to end the only remaining unbeaten record in the Championship.

The Lions dominated the clash and O'Brien gave them a deserved victory in the 73rd minute when he tucked home a loose ball inside the penalty area.

His goal ended a run of six straight clean sheets for Leeds, who finished with 10 men after defender Pontus Jansson went off injured with all three substitutes on the pitch.

Cardiff are level on points with Leeds after Sol Bamba netted a 95th-minute equaliser to grab a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

The visitors had looked on course for a third straight win following Gary Hooper's opener just before the break, but were denied at the death.

Wolves moved above the Bluebirds on goal difference courtesy of Diogo Jota's double in a 2-1 victory at Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder opened the scoring two minutes after half-time and then netted an 81st-minute winner after Mustapha Carayol had drawn Forest level.

Fourth-placed Preston scored three second-half goals as they came from behind to win 3-1 over Birmingham, who sacked boss Harry Redknapp after the game.

Maxime Colin scored before the break to put the Blues ahead but goals from Daniel Johnson, Jordan Hugill and Tom Barkhuizen inflicted a fifth straight defeat on Redknapp's side.

Two goals from Albert Adomah and a first professional goal for Keinan Davis gave Aston Villa a first win in five matches as they defeated Barnsley 3-0.

Villa opened the scoring in the 19th minute when a long ball from the back led to a mix-up between Davies and a defender allowing Adomah to take it past both of them and poke into an empty net.

Adomah added a penalty after Adam Jackson lunged and brough down Davies, who finally got his goal in the 55th minute when he met a delightful cross to tower over everyone and head the ball downwards.

Middlesbrough twice came from behind to beat QPR 3-2 and move to within a point of the playoff places.

David Wheeler and Jamie Mackie scored either side of Lewis Baker's effort to put the visitors in control but quick-fire goals from Ashley Fletcher and Britt Assombalonga won it for Boro.

Yanic Wildschut netted the only goal as Norwich became the first side to leave Sheffield United with three points this season.

David Meyler rescued a late point for Hull in a 1-1 draw after James Vaughan had given Sunderland hope of a first win in six games, while Reading snatched a 1-1 draw at Brentford as Liam Kelly's penalty cancelled out Josh Clarke's early opener.

Bristol City netted four times after the interval to hammer Derby 4-1. Gary Rowett's side took the lead through Matej Vydra's first-half spot-kick only for goals from Cauley Woodrow, Bobby Reid (penalty), Jamie Paterson and Famara Diedhiou to give the in-form Robins all three points.

Goals from Stephen Warnock and Lucas Akins earned Burton a 2-1 win over Fulham, who had equalised through Oliver Norwood, while Cole Skuse and David McGoldrick struck as Ipswich beat bottom side Bolton 2-0.
