Hull clear at top of Championship with Bristol City draw, Derby beat Cardiff

Substitute Shaun Maloney earned Championship leaders Hull a point with a second-half equaliser against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Kieran Agard had put the hosts ahead after 39 minutes and they held out until the 73rd minute for a valuable 1-1 draw in their bid to pull away from the relegation zone.

With closest rivals Brighton playing Burnley on Sunday, the draw moved Hull a point clear at the top of the table.

Derby moved up to fourth with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff, who saw their play-off hopes hit as a result.
